Our Story
Roots in Tea, Heart in Service
Before cables and chargers, there were tea leaves.
For over 50 years, the Thakkar family lived and breathed the tea business. Three generations of experience passed down like a family recipe. Chetan Lalbhai Thakkar spent more than 20 years in that world himself. He learned how to source quality, how to treat customers, and how to run an honest business.
But deep down, a new dream was simmering. Chetan wanted to build something completely on his own, in a world he didn't yet know. So in 2018, with only his determination and a lifetime of business sense, he stepped away from the tea gardens. He opened a tiny shop selling mobile accessories and doing repairs. No connections. No guide. Just courage.
The Journey
50+ Years: A Family Legacy in Tea
Three generations of the Thakkar family built their lives around the tea trade. Discipline, quality sourcing, and honest dealing were not just values. They were survival skills passed down through decades.
2018: The Leap of Faith
Chetan stepped away from the tea gardens and opened a tiny mobile accessories shop. No connections. No guide. Just courage. The first months were brutal. Fake products, untrustworthy suppliers, repair jobs figured out from scratch. He stayed long after closing time, taking apart broken chargers just to understand the circuits inside. He asked questions nobody else bothered to ask.
The Rise of Kaka
Months turned into years. The man who once struggled with a simple repair became the person everyone turned to for advice. Fellow shopkeepers dropped by with their problems. Distributors called him first when new stock arrived. They started calling him "KAKA", a word full of respect, affection, and trust. Kaka, the one who knew what was inside every cable. Kaka, the man who would never sell something he wouldn't give his own family.
Soon, Chetan was not just running a shop. He became a distributor and retailer for multiple brands, handling thousands of units, meeting factory representatives, and sitting right at the spot where products enter India and their prices are decided. That seat gave him a view very few people ever get.
The Big Realisation
What Chetan saw from that position left him deeply disturbed. He watched brands import a cable for a few rupees and sell it for a small fortune, adding nothing but shiny packaging and loud marketing jingles. Indian consumers paid a brand tax every single day, believing they had no other option.
Kaka decided he could no longer be a quiet link in that chain. He had spent years learning what true quality felt like. He had built real relationships with manufacturers who could produce world-class products without the artificial markup. The mission became crystal clear: Break the chain. Give Indians the quality they deserve, at a price that respects them.
2025: Guifin Is Born
Fueled by that vision, Chetan Lalbhai Thakkar launched Guifin. A brand that refuses to sell smoke. Every product is engineered for speed, safety, and long-lasting performance. From 120W braided cables that survive the roughest daily use, to earbuds tuned for bass lovers, to chargers that intelligently protect your devices.
And we price them exactly what they are worth. No inflated MRPs. No imaginary premium. No jingles.
